Not to turn this into a rant against men, or negligent partners/roommates/adult children. HOWEVER. We are lucky enough to have a great cleaning lady, who comes in weekly and focuses on kitchen surfaces, all floors, and bathrooms.
The MA believes that this covers our entire week of cleaning. Yes, really. So, here's some topics for prescribed list for him. Ahem.
wipe counters after making food, or loading the dishwasher - a dirty counter does not count as a clean kitchen
laundry: it's not just a once a week thing!
dogs: we have floors. they have paws. you do the math
dishwasher: don't let the dishes build up to where it makes you depressed (or looks like Withnail & I). It will make you sad and you'll eat something from a box or a bag for dinner.
